A while back, my friend Nick said something to the effect of, “all the failed graphic design students in the world are picked up by bowling alley animation companies.” He’s right. Have you seen the videos that play after you bowl a 7-10 split or knock down a spare? They’re garbage.
But I’ll be the first to admit there are some things that are so bad, they manage to become things I enjoy – and I’m sure you can agree. It’s not that we have bad taste, but rather that we’ve grown used to the objective badness on display, and now we’re kind of reveling in it. Case in point:
- “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice
- 1999’s The Mummy, starring Brendan Fraser
- The smell of your own flatulence
See what I mean? Let’s agree that like bowling alley animations, those things are pretty awful.
Sound good? Good. Now check out the hook while my DJ revolves it.
